Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)

What Is Community Bible Church?

We are an eclectic group of believers who have been called together by God to serve Him, each other and our community.

What is the Sunday morning service like?

Since we as a church are diverse so are our services, we like to mix the old hymns with some of the new worship songs. We will frequently mix liturgy and free-stlye testimonies, and we enjoy using short video clips draw the congregation into the service. The preaching will always focus on the God breathed, infalliable Word of God. In all that we do, we are constantly seeking to encourage each person to focus completely and worship the Creator of the Universe.

What attire is approriate on Sunday mornings?

As with our style of worship, we appreciate the unique expression of what each person is comfortable wearing. Clothing ranges from T-shirts and jeans to suits with ties. We realize that it is the condition of our hearts that most interests God, not our clothing.

What Denomination is Community Bible Church?

We started out in 1984 a part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, which faithfully reflected who we were for 20 years. As we started to grow, we realized that it no longer reflected who we as a congregation were, so in the fall of 2007 we adopted a new form of government and statement of faith.

If I become a member of this site, and I am approved does that mean that I am also a member of the church?
Well, you are almost there. The next thing you need to do is easy, just attend a Discover CBC class, held once a month, in that class you will find out more about CBC, our congregation, and our ministries. Really what we are praying for is that you will find a place you can call home, where you are accepted, and can grow in your relationship with Christ and other believers.
